Adirondack Amy
Adirondack Amy is a series written for my little girl. The character was created to have her appearance and to grow up where I did; in the Adirondack Mountains. We read together every night and it has been a great source of learning for us both. Adirondack Amy is one of the first books that I put together for her. It started out as some typed paper and crude drawings in a small photo album for us to read together. It has grown into a real book for us to enjoy together!
There is currently one more book in the works called Adirondack Amy and Her Chickadee Friends. I hope to expand on these two in the future.
Also keep an eye out for a simple Prayer book by this author and illustrator. This will not be a part of the Adirondack Amy series; although I will be sure to read them with my own little ‘Adirondack Amy’.

About The Chickadees
My mother-in-law used to call my husband and sister-in-law her little chickadees. She passed a way a few years ago now; my father-in-law following not too long after. Since then, we have taken to keeping two little chickadees in a tree in our foyer to keep them a part of our daily lives. Whenever you see chickadees in the Amy stories, they are a little nod to them.

This is a story about two little chickadees who take on some of the personality of my parents-in-law. This is one way to keep my them a part of my little one’s life.

Life is such an adventure! Before retirement, I was a Social Worker in a cancer center. I had the priveledge of working with people in all conditions of life. After retirement, I discovered I have a talent for portrait painting! My goal as a portrait painter is capturing the personality of people and pets in paintings. I think I'm able to do this because of my Social Work experiences. My pictures usually tell a story, or there's a story behind them.... And just for fun, I also create other art in addition to portraits. I hope you enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoy creating them. -Marilyn Jacobson
